Jason Page is an award winning actor, filmmaker and photojournalist, as well as an accomplished pot smoker and nap taker. His first feature length comedy, Newton’s Disease, was hailed as “an excellent debut” by the City Pages and screened at the 2007 Fargo Film Festival.
He’s had a hand in a number of short films over the years, most notably Piling Up Vera, which was honored in the Round Of Ten at the 2000 IndieKino International Film Festival.
Jason’s recent theatrical work includes acting stints in The Glass Menagerie, Noises Off and Barefoot in the Park. In 2005 he directed The Laramie Project for Working Class Theatre.
Jason won numerous journalism awards during his tenure at WDIO television, but mostly got stuck doing stories about gas prices. He was honored to pose Kermit in a publicity photo while working for The Jim Henson Company, but largely filled his days archiving and listening to BBC internet radio. He even interviewed Donny Osmond while writing freelance for BRNTWD Magazine, but mostly he got stuck interviewing people like Donny Osmond.
He took extension classes at The American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles, and graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) with a BFA in theatre. While there he received a UROP grant to write and direct his original play Hand-Me-Down Excalibur and was selected to perform at the 1996 Hungarian International Shakespeare Festival. He also co-wrote and acted in the feature length student film The Bond.
After a whirlwind of production in 2007, Jason is currently camped out in the edit suite, working to complete God Rocks and White Man’s World, the first two features to be released by 4 Track Films. Jason Page
